Madison, Wisc. – January 24, 2017 – Gustavus Adolphus’ Alex Kopp (Wayzata, Minn.) and the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater’s Chloe Rehberg (Cary, Ill.) have been recognized for their standout performances this past week, as each earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Gymnast of the Week honors, announced by the conference offices on Tuesday.
Kopp notched her best performance of the season, placing first in the all-around with a 37.700 in the home opener for the Golden Gusties on Jan. 21. To get her total, Kopp earned season-high scores on three of the four events, including placing third on vault with a 9.550, first on the balance beam with a 9.625, and fourth on floor exercise with a 9.500.
